MMI Engineering - About Us

MMI provides consulting services in the quantification, management and mitigation of risk posed by natural and manmade hazards to our clients in the oil and gas, energy, utilities, security, government, industrial and commercial markets. We use state-of-the-art engineering, science and technology in combination with practical design, construction and project management experience of our staff to develop practical and implementable solutions to meet our client’s unique needs. MMI’s primary areas of practice include structural engineering, structural mechanics, earthquake engineering, offshore engineering, fluid dynamics and major hazards engineering.

Founded in 2001, MMI has a staff of over 60 professionals of whom most have advanced degrees (doctorate or master) in science and engineering. We have seven offices located in the American, European and East Asian time zones, and have served our customers with projects on six continents. Our offices are located in Houston, Texas; Oakland and Huntington Beach in California and Tacoma, Washington in the United States; Warrington, Bristol, Belfast and Aberdeen in the United Kingdom; Perth, Australia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

MMI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Geosyntec Consultants, a leading US environmental consulting firm. Geosyntec has a staff of 700 engineers, scientists, and related technical and project support staff located in more than 40 offices throughout the U.S. and in Canada, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom.
