Engineers - Coastal Structures

The Opportunity

MMI has immediate employment opportunities for all levels of engineers, project managers and business line managers in our offices in Oakland, California.  The positions will be responsible for the development and execution of projects in MMI's coastal engineering practice area.  This practice focuses on services provided to various industry sectors in the design and assessment of marine terminals, ports and harbors as well as other coastal and near shore infrastructure.  Engineers in this area will also supports projects across multiple industries.  The work will include research and development studies, conceptual development projects, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), preliminary design, detailed engineering and assessments of existing facilities.

Background / Experience

Preferred candidates will have an MS, ME or PHD in Civil-Structural, Naval Architecture or Mechnical Engineering.  Entry level positions are available to recent graduates, however, engineers with experience in work related coastal structures or ocean engineering will be preferred.  Project Management candidates must have at least eight years of applicable project experience with coastal structures.  Candidates who have experience managing multi-disciplined engineering teams on complex technical projects will be preferred.  Candidates for the business line management position must have at least fifiteen years of P&L responsibility managing a consulting services operation in the coastal structures or similar industries.
