CFD Engineer : Teesside

We are currently seeking a CFD Engineer to join our Teesside office.  This is the most recently established MMI-UK office and specialises in providing safety engineering and fluids engineering support to the Energy, Utilities and Renewables industries; we also provide support to clients in Oil & Gas, Water, Environmental and Defence industries.

The successful candidate will support MMI clients across this range of industries in the form of CFD simulation studies, general fluids engineering and potentially safety engineering and risk management activities also.

Background/Experience

Successful candidates will have a good degree in an engineering or physical sciences discipline, preferably with a higher degree in Numerical Modelling (CFD).  Candidates should possess good knowledge of commercial CFD tools, ideally ICEM and ANSYS-CFX.  Experience of office software tools and operating systems (Linux and Windows) and programming skills with FORTRAN, C and Matlab (or other scripting tools) are essential.

The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and will have 3-5 years experience of applying CFD to projects - this may have been gained through a PhD or industrial work.  Candidates with greater experience would also be considered for a more senior role.
