QRA & FIRE & BLAST HAZARDS ANALYSIS POSITIONS

MMI Engineering is a rapidly developing company providing Scientific, Engineering, Safety and Risk Management Consulting services to clients across a wide range of industry sectors. We need committed, high quality, scientists and engineers to come and share in our success and take on a variety of technical roles throughout the company.

The Opportunity

We have a number of opportunities in our Houston, Texas office where we are currently expanding our Quantative Risk Assessment/Fire and Blast Hazard Analysis Practice.   The opportunities include a Group Practice Leader, Senior Engineer and two Senior Staff Engineers to support this expanding area of our practice.

The successful applicant will become involved in projects related to oil, gas, petrochemical, LNG, and power generation projects, located both onshore and offshore, and in a diverse range of international locations.  The successful applicants will be working with major energy providers and large EPC companies.

Our work is undertaken in support of the safe operation of existing facilities, and in the development of new facilities from concept development to detailed design.  As well as consulting assignments you will also be involved in technical development work to generate new tools and applications.  Less experienced applicants would augment our existing activities, whilst the opportunity exists for an experienced person to take on more management responsibilities.

Background/Experience

Successful candidates will have a recognized degree in an engineering or science discipline, and may be qualified to a higher level. Our staff are drawn from a variety of backgrounds including academia, research, vendors, design, consulting, regulatory, and operations.  A background in major hazard industries would be an advantage.

We are interested in all levels of technical and management experience, from Graduates to Experts; Learners to Leaders.  A Safety Engineering background is not essential as MMI will provide support to applicants who have no direct experience, but wish to use their existing skills as a springboard to this discipline.

Key attributes being sought from experienced applicants should be focused around risk management and could include experience in topics such as HAZOP, HAZID, FMEA, FTA, QRA, ALARP Demonstrations, SIL assessments, Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis, Safety Case Development, etc.

Benefits

MMI Engineering offers excellent compensation packages commensurate with experience.  We provide comprehensive employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, an employer matched 401(k) plan, bonus plan and profit sharing.

MMI Engineering is an Equal Employment Opportunity, equal access, affirmative action employer and value workplace diversity.
