Technical Safety
MMI is seeking to fill a number of positions, at different levels of seniority, to support this rapidly expanding area of our practice.
Successful applicants will be exposed to a wide range of blue chip clients working on international projects including, Oil & Gas, LNG, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), and power generation projects, located both onshore and offshore in a diverse range of locations.
Our work is undertaken in support of the safe operation of existing facilities through the whole asset life cycle, from the development of new facilities from Concept Development, to Detailed Design, to Change of Use and Decommissioning Studies . As well as consulting assignments, you may also have the opportunity to become involved in development work to help us generate and develop tools and applications.
Background/Experience
Successful candidates will have a good degree in an engineering or science discipline, and may be qualified to a higher level. Our staff are drawn from a variety of backgrounds, including academia, research, vendors, design, consulting, regulatory, and operations. A background in Major Hazard industries would be an advantage.
We are interested in all levels of technical and management experience, from Graduates to Experts; Learners to Leaders. A Safety Engineering background is not essential as MMI will provide support to applicants who have no direct experience, but wish to use their existing skills as a springboard to this discipline.
Key attributes being sought from experienced applicants should be focussed around risk management, and could include experience in topics such as HAZOP, HAZID, FMEA, FTA, QRA, ALARP Demonstrations, SIL assessments, Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis, Safety Case Development, etc.
