MMI has immediate employment opportunities for engineers in our offices in Oakland California to join a specialist team that performs advanced structural mechanics, risk assessment, computational fluid dynamics and the design of structures subjected to extreme events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, and explosions.  We serve the nuclear power, petrochemical, renewable energy and water industries.

Background / Experience

Candidates must have an M.S., M.E. or Ph.D. level degree, preferably in Civil-Structural or Mechanical Engineering and should have at least five years of experience with the use of software such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, LS-DYNA and SAP2000, preferably in the application to projects in the nuclear power industry.  Knowledge of seismic margins and probabilistic risk assessment would be a major plus.  Candidates will be evaluated based on their academic credentials, experience, understanding of structural mechanics, communication skills and interest in working collaboratively with a high quality team.
