The Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) is hosting a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Knowledge Transfer Workshop on the 8th of September at 1 Victoria Street Conference Centre, London.

The aim of the workshop is to discuss the Key Knowledge Deliverables (KKDs), which were developed under the UK CCS Commercialisation Programme (2012-2015).

The workshop will begin with brief presentations from representatives of the two preferred bidders in the CCS Competition – the Peterhead and White Rose projects. The remainder of the workshop will be structured around parallel breakout sessions on technical and commercial issues – where attendees will have the opportunity to interact with project representatives and discuss specific issues and areas of interest.

Tony Byrne, who is a co-chair of the Technical Working Group for the CCSA and a member of CCSA Regulatory and Policy Working Group, will chair the technical session on:

Commissioning and operational control
Re-use of infrastructure
Subsurface characterisation, design and Measurement, Monitoring and Verification
