Internships 2020-05-04T12:11:34-04:00

Our internships are available in the UK. Working on a cross-office basis, interns will have the opportunity to work on live projects on a global scale.

Our Interns

We provide our interns with real responsibilities, giving them an insight into the career-path they have chosen. Therefore, it is not surprising that many join us upon completion of their studies.

What to Expect

A minimum of ten weeks within one of our UK offices.  During this period you will have the opportunity to work alongside technical experts within your field, assisting them to meet the needs of our varied client-base.

The Application Process

  1. Upload a copy of your CV to the careers section of our website
  2. Attend an informal interview with a Principal Consultant and Senior Engineer

CVs are accepted throughout the year. Applications for 2020 have closed but we will accept cvs from October 2020 for summer 2021. Please complete the form to send your CV.

“I chose to complete my summer placement at MMI Engineering because I was impressed by the variety of work undertaken by the consultancy. In less than four weeks I had already been introduced to numerous projects across several engineering disciplines and was directly involved in a number of them myself. I gained experience using ABAQUS software for thermal stress analysis and modelled components of a geopolymer production plant using Solidworks.”

“Three weeks into the internship I completed my first project; the development of a new software tool to visualise the quantitative risk assessment results for clients. This involved developing code in Visual Basic for Applications to run an external piece of plotting software. I chose to intern at MMI because I wanted to experience working for a consultancy and I have already learned some really useful skills.”
