Engineering your future events are career awareness days held across the country for students from secondary schools and sixth form colleges, the intention of which being to make them aware of the available career paths in various engineering industries. This series of one-day career events is jointly co-ordinated and sponsored by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Institution of Chemical Engineers, The Nuclear Institute and the British Computer Society. The events are fully supported by STEMNET and the North West STEM Centres.
In line with our commitment to promoting STEM to students of varying ages, we attended two of the career days – one in Burnley on the 11th October and one on the 7th of November in Preston.
