The IChemE in Malaysia’s 7th Regional Process Safety Seminar will take place on the 13thand 14th of October in Thailand.  The theme for this year’s seminar is “Investing in Process Safety & Integrity – what is the price?”

The event will comprise a one-day full seminar and half-day workshop. Topics will include:

  • Cost Effective PSM Implementation for Reduction of Process Hazards Risk
  • Maintaining Process Safety and Asset Integrity in Tough Market Conditions
  • Optimising Dollars in Process Safety Data Analytics
  • Process Safety Competency
  • The Cost of Process Safety for Mature Assets
  • The Journey to Major Accident Prevention

The half-day workshop, prepared by MMI’s Alan Munn (top left) and Garry Law (top right), will provide participants with an opportunity to discover practical ideas on how to achieve the right level of safety through gaining a better understanding of the value of process safety.  The workshop will focus on two sub-topics:

  • How safe do we need to be? A practical approach to ALARP
  • The Value of Process Safety
