MMI Engineering will be presenting a paper with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation at the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center International Symposium, which takes place at the Hilton Conference Center in College Station between the 27th and 29th of October. The paper is entitled “An Approach to Onshore Facility Hazard Analysis” and was co-authored by Eric Peterson (MMI Houston), Ryan Morton (Anadarko) and Morgan Reed (MMI Houston). The paper will examine the challenging cost efficiency targets, while pressing for higher production volumes, faced by onshore oil and gas operators. Within this tension is a need to reduce planned facility foot prints while maintaining the primary focus of personnel and environmental protection.
We also have a poster presentation at the event entitled “Methanol Storage Tank Internal Pool Fire Modeling Using CFD” by Tony Liu, Anh Bui, Morgan Reed and Eric Peterson – all from the Houston MMI Office.
