In November, MMI will present at two key events within the Asset Management community – the UK Annual Systems Engineering Conference (UKASEC), and the IAM Asset Management Conference.

Hosted by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), UKASEC 2017 is a 2-day event that brings together world-class presenters and practitioners, providing an excellent forum for networking and sharing experiences. The conference is taking place between the 21st and 22nd of November at The University of Warwick. Click here to find out more. This year, MMI’s Systems Engineer, Tim Ingram (top left), will be presenting at the event. On Day 1, Tim Ingram will present his paper ‘Systems Engineering Approach to Asset Management’ between 14:15 and 15:00. Tim will discuss how Systems Engineering can be applied in any sector, to any project, yet how it often gets lost in translation – leading to misunderstandings across an enterprise and a subsequent failure to deliver. He will touch on Subject-Specific Guidance (SSG) for Systems Engineering, which is being prepared by The Institute of Asset Management (IAM) community, and is something that Tim and MMI’s Alex Bond (top right) have been heavily involved with. The 2017 IAM Asset Management Conference will also take place between the 21st and 22nd of November, however this event is being held in London. The Asset Management Conference is the IAM’s unique Call for Papers conference, showcasing the discipline across keynote, paper and workshop presentations. The event will cover the breadth and depth of asset management, not just the management of assets, including aspects such as organisational value, purpose, long-term outcomes and asset databases, budgets and life-cycle activities respectively. Click here to find out more. Alex Bond will present his paper ‘Introducing the Fault and Incident Response SSG’ during the 2nd day between 10:25 and 10:45. Please contact Alex to receive a copy of his abstract.
