MMI had a strong presence at Hazards 25 in Edinburgh between 13-15th May. On the afternoon of the 15th, Tim Jones presented his paper on Dispersion Modelling for Explosion Risk Analysis, and throughout the event we presented two poster presentations as part of the exhibition:
1/ Are Unsafe “Fireproofing” Practices Still Being Used in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Processing Plants? – Graham Boaler, Richard Holliday & Eddie Walker
2/ Best Practice in Application of CAA CAP 437 Standards for Offshore Helicopter Landing Areas – Chris Robinson, Tim Jones & Andrew Grand
Our fireproofing poster won ‘Best Poster Presentation at Hazards 25’, which was awarded during the gala meal. Eddie Walker from our Passive Fire Protection (PFP) team presented the poster and is pictured above (middle) with Graham Boaler (who co-authored the paper and also specialises in PFP) and Gemma Prowse (Marketing Manager).
